There was a time when “Politician” like “Pediatrician” had a noble, respectable definition. These desires, being what motivates secret inclinations for the juiciest gossip, or not just a mere defeat but a humiliating defeat of the powerful, are our own poison to either reject or imbibe. These comments feed our inner man’s insatiable desire for visceral, unsophisticated, and uninhibited expression. Whether it is Marco Rubio’s comments on Trump’s little hands, or, more recently, Congressman Filemon Vela’s suggestion that Trump take his wall and put it behind him, what we, the People, are left with is a jaw-dropping scene unlike one we have ever seen before in our American experience.
